Metal chimneys require dependable caps that prevent water intrusion, improve draft, and keep out debris. The Model 1 Single Wall / Solid-Pack Replacement Cap is engineered to provide that level of reliability with a sleek, functional design that integrates seamlessly into your system. At Chicagoland Fireplace & Chimney Restoration, we fabricate and install replacement caps that fit perfectly, ensuring lasting performance, safety, and weather resistance for both single-wall and solid-pack chimneys.
This model’s balanced design allows for consistent venting while sealing out rain, snow, and debris. The deep skirt and flanged base create a secure overlap that directs water away from the flue opening, preventing moisture intrusion and corrosion. Its open-top venting ring promotes continuous airflow, improving combustion efficiency and helping your chimney exhaust gases safely and evenly.
Constructed from high-quality 304 stainless steel, the cap withstands extreme temperatures and resists rust in high-moisture environments. Each seam is precision-welded for long-term stability, while the smooth, polished finish offers a professional appearance that complements any home exterior. Unlike thinner sheet-metal alternatives, this model retains its structural integrity year after year.
The Model 1 replacement cap is designed to fit securely across a variety of venting systems, whether single-wall or solid-pack insulated chimneys. Its adjustable collar and reinforced mounting hardware ensure a snug, vibration-resistant connection without restricting airflow. Every cap is measured, fabricated, and installed to match your chimney’s specific configuration for an exact fit and watertight seal.
Our technicians begin with a full system inspection to confirm flue type and diameter, followed by precise fabrication and secure installation. Once in place, each cap is tested for draft flow, water resistance, and structural integrity. The result is a replacement solution that restores efficiency and keeps your chimney protected season after season.

Annual chimney cleaning helps reduce creosote buildup, improve draft, and spot blockages before winter use. Professional sealing adds a vapor-permeable barrier that repels rain and snow without trapping moisture in masonry.
