Modern chimney systems often require adaptable components that can be expanded or modified without compromising safety or performance. The 3/4 Modular Extension System delivers that flexibility, allowing for height adjustments, venting improvements, and custom configurations across multi-flue and single-flue chimney caps. Built from durable 304 stainless steel, each extension seamlessly integrates with existing modular caps, providing unmatched stability and protection.
At Chicagoland Fireplace & Chimney Restoration, we fabricate and install modular extensions engineered for structural integrity, optimized draft performance, and precise alignment with your existing stainless system.
Each 3/4 modular extension is crafted to interlock perfectly with compatible stainless steel chimney cap assemblies. The design provides airtight connections while maintaining balanced airflow and a consistent exterior profile. This ensures each added section performs as a natural extension of the original cap, whether increasing height for better draft or improving clearance for code compliance near nearby rooflines or vents.
The 304 stainless steel construction ensures long-term resistance to rust, warping, and heat damage. Every joint is precision-welded, polished, and reinforced for superior stability. The material’s strength allows it to handle extreme temperature variations and high wind loads, making it a reliable solution for both residential and commercial chimneys in the demanding Chicago climate.
Increasing chimney height often improves draft efficiency—especially in homes with taller roofs or surrounding obstructions. The 3/4 modular extension’s smooth inner surface and precision-aligned structure support steady airflow, reducing turbulence and preventing smoke or exhaust buildup. The design also minimizes backdrafts, ensuring safer and cleaner fireplace performance.
Each modular extension is measured, fabricated, and installed to exact specifications. Our technicians verify diameter, cap alignment, and flue spacing before securing the sections using heat-rated fasteners and high-temperature sealants. Every installation concludes with a final inspection to confirm airflow consistency, leak prevention, and weather resistance for dependable year-round operation.
