For chimneys featuring multiple flue openings, an integrated top-mount design offers both strength and efficiency. The 2 Single Flue Chimney Cap provides reliable coverage that prevents rain, debris, and animals from entering while allowing proper ventilation for each individual flue. At Chicagoland Fireplace & Chimney Restoration, we design, fabricate, and install caps built to last—combining durable materials, reinforced seams, and clean architectural lines that enhance your home’s appearance while protecting its structure.
The two-flue configuration is crafted for optimal airflow balance, ensuring each flue operates independently while sharing a unified protective top. Cross-support brackets and reinforced mesh guards are added for extra stability, preventing intrusion from wildlife and keeping leaves or twigs from blocking the vent system. This structure maintains proper draft performance, improves combustion efficiency, and eliminates the risk of trapped moisture or backdrafting.
Each dual-flue cap is available in heavy-duty 304 stainless steel or premium copper, chosen for their long-term resistance to rust, heat, and corrosion. Stainless steel offers a modern finish and years of maintenance-free service, while copper develops a distinctive patina that complements traditional and high-end homes alike. Every joint and seam is hand-finished for a clean fit and enduring weather resistance.
Our technicians measure each flue opening and the chimney crown precisely before fabrication. The cap’s mounting flange and skirt are cut to match the existing masonry for a secure, watertight seal that keeps water out of mortar joints. Adjustable brackets and solid weld points ensure stability even in strong winds and severe weather conditions common across Chicagoland.
A properly installed dual-flue cap protects your system for decades with minimal upkeep. During installation, our team verifies crown condition, flue spacing, and airflow balance before anchoring the cap. Each completed system is tested to confirm perfect alignment and sealing—providing both visual enhancement and dependable protection against costly water damage.

Annual chimney cleaning helps reduce creosote buildup, improve draft, and spot blockages before winter use. Professional sealing adds a vapor-permeable barrier that repels rain and snow without trapping moisture in masonry. Chicagoland freeze-thaw cycles can accelerate cracking and spalling when water gets into brick and mortar. Get a free quote from Chicagoland Fireplace & Chimney Restoration Company.
